Brienne Brown

Brienne Brown is from Austin, Texas. She studied ballet for 15 years and discovered yoga while rowing on the crew team in college. She never looked back. She found yoga to be most challenging and rewarding practice for the body, heart, and mind that she’d ever experienced. In 1997, she became a teacher in order to share her love of yoga. Brienne has studied Ashtanga under esteemed teachers such as Pattabhi and Manju Jois, David Swenson, Sharon Moon, Mark Darby, and Mary Flinn. She has studied under renowned vinyasa teachers such as Seane Corn and Baron Baptiste. And, she has studied the principles of Anusara extensively with Christina Sell, Charly Pivert, Amy Ippoliti and Mandy Eubanks. She has 8,000 hours of teaching experience in hatha, vinyasa, and prenatal and more than 1,000 hours of teacher training. Her master’s work focused on chronic disease caused by lifestyle, specifically as it relates to kinesiology and nutrition. For the last decade she has also made a career in writing grants and studying the epidemiology of chronic diseases.
